Wizz Joins the Global Movement for Safer Internet Day 2026
February 10, 2026 marks Safer Internet Day, a global initiative celebrated in more than 100 countries to promote a safer, kinder, and more responsible internet. This year, Wizz is proud to stand alongside organizations and people worldwide in support of this important moment for online safety.
In the U.S., Safer Internet Day is hosted by ConnectSafely, a leading nonprofit dedicated to helping people navigate the digital world with confidence. Together, the goal is simple but powerful: make the internet a place where everyone – especially young people – can connect, express themselves, and build relationships safely.
Safety Is Not a Feature. It’s a Foundation.
At Wizz, safety has always been built into the product from day one. We believe meaningful connections only happen when people feel protected and respected. That’s why we’ve invested heavily in proactive safety tools, including mandatory age verification, advanced content moderation, and real-time user education designed specifically for young adults.
Safer Internet Day is a reminder that safety doesn’t stop at technology. It’s also about awareness, conversation, and shared responsibility – between platforms and communities.
Empowering Conversations That Matter
This year’s Safer Internet Day shines a spotlight on helping young people navigate screens, social platforms, and emerging technologies like AI. Wizz encourages open conversations about online boundaries, kindness, and balance – both on and off the app.
We’re proud to support initiatives led by ConnectSafely, including free resources and virtual programs that help build healthier digital habits.
A Shared Commitment to a Better Internet
Creating a safer internet isn’t a one-day effort. It’s ongoing work. At Wizz, we remain committed to raising the bar for youth safety, partnering with trusted experts, and continuously improving our platform so Gen Z can connect with confidence.
On February 10, we invite our community to join the global conversation. Spread the word. Share resources. And help shape an internet that works better – for everyone.
