How to Block Someone on Wizz App

If someone on Wizz app is making you uncomfortable, blocking is the fastest way to shut the door. Blocking prevents that person from ever messaging you again and removes the conversation from your inbox entirely.
Here's exactly how to do it, what it does, and how to reverse it if you change your mind.
How to block someone on Wizz App , step by step
Open the conversation with the user you want to block.
Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the chat.
Tap Block 🚫.
Confirm by tapping OK.
Once confirmed, that user can no longer send you messages, and you won't be able to see or interact with anything from them going forward.
What blocking actually does
Blocking is the most complete control you have over a single connection on Wizz App:
The person can no longer send you messages.
The conversation disappears from your inbox.
You can no longer see their profile or interact with them.
Unlike reporting, blocking doesn't send anything to our safety team on its own — it's a personal boundary, not a moderation action. If the person did something that violates our Community Guidelines, we recommend reporting them as well, so our safety team can review the account and take action if needed.
How to unblock someone on Wizz App
Changed your mind, or blocked someone by accident? You can unblock them anytime:
Go to your Profile (tap your picture in the bottom-right corner).
Go to Settings (tap the wheel icon in the top-right corner).
Under My account, tap Blocked users.
Find the user and tap Unblock.
If you don't have any blocked users, you'll see a screen confirming your blocked list is empty.
Blocking is one layer of a much bigger safety system
Blocking gives you personal control, but it's backed by product-wide infrastructure designed to make sure you rarely need it in the first place:
Yoti age estimation confirms every user is a real, live human and that their stated age is accurate, before they can talk to anyone.
Age-gated communities keep age groups structurally separate — not as an opt-in setting, but by design.
Bodyguard screens every single message before it's delivered to your inbox.
Cinder, an AI-driven content moderation system, reviews every image and video before it can reach you.
Human-reviewed reporting means any account flagged for violating our guidelines is reviewed by a real safety agent, who can restrict or ban it.
Blocking sits at the top of that stack — it's the control you use when you, personally, want a conversation to stop, regardless of whether it broke any rule.
Does the person know I blocked them?
No. Wizz App doesn't send a notification when you block someone. Their messages simply stop reaching you, and the conversation quietly disappears from your side.
Block vs. report: which should I use?
Use block when you want a specific person to stop being able to contact you. Use report when their behavior violates our Community Guidelines and you want our safety team to review the account. You can also do both at the same time.
