Reporting is one of the most important safety tools on Wizz App. If someone breaks our Community Guidelines — harassment, inappropriate content, impersonation, or anything that makes you uncomfortable — reporting them puts their account in front of our safety team, not just out of your inbox.

Here's exactly how it works, and what happens after you tap "Report."

How to report someone on Wizz App, step by step

  1. Open the conversation with the user you want to report.

  2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the chat.

  3. Tap Report ✋.

  4. Select the reason that best describes what happened.

  5. Confirm the report.

That's it. The report is submitted instantly to our safety team for review.

What happens after you report someone

Every single report on Wizz App is reviewed by a real safety agent — not just an algorithm. Depending on the severity of what's reported, the offending account can be temporarily restricted or permanently banned from the app.

Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. If our safety team determines the user violated a guideline, the user will face consequences immediately. If they violated our guidelines multiple times, they will face a more serious consequence.

Before a report is ever needed, though, Wizz App is already working in the background to keep your inbox safe:

  • Bodyguard screens every message before it's delivered, filtering out harmful, abusive, or explicit language automatically.

  • Cinder, our AI-driven content moderation partner, reviews every image and video before it can appear in anyone's inbox.

  • Yoti age estimation confirms every user is a real person and the age they claim to be, before they can interact with anyone at all.

  • Age-gated communities means users can only talk to people in their age group.

Reporting is your layer of control on top of all of that — a direct line to our human moderation team whenever something slips through or crosses a line. Your reports also give feedback to our moderation systems, ensuring they are always improving.

Does reporting someone tell them?

No. The person you report is not notified that you specifically reported them. Reporting is private and does not out you to the other user.

Should I report or block someone?

They're not mutually exclusive, and you can do both. Reporting flags the account for our safety team to review and potentially restrict or ban. Blocking is about your own inbox — it immediately stops that person from messaging you and removes the conversation from view. If someone has broken our guidelines, we recommend reporting and blocking.

Why this matters

Wizz App was built around real, safe conversation between age-verified Gen Z — not content performance. Every layer of the product, from Yoti's age verification at sign-up to Bodyguard's message screening to a human-reviewed reporting system, exists so that the people you talk to on Wizz App are who they say they are, and so that anyone who isn't acting in good faith gets removed.
